DID DEMOCRACY DIE WITH THE CREATION OF THE E.U.?
My understanding of democracy is government by the will of the people.
So when the Greek prime minister called a referendum to ask the Greek people if they wished to implement the austerity measures insisted on by the EU I applauded his decision.
Now, having been leaned on by the EU, because they feared the Greek people may vote no, he`s rescinded.
I`m surprised that they didn`t allow it go ahead and then do what they`ve done before and insist on a re-run until the `right` decision
