MIDFIELDER HENRY JOINING THE SILKMEN

Macclesfield Town have secured the services of midfielder Charlie Henry following his release by fellow Blue Square Bet Premier side Luton Town.

The 25-year-old was released by Luton boss Paul Buckle at the end of the season and was also a target for Aldershot Town after a successful loan spell at the Recreation Ground towards the end of the 2011/12 campaign.

However, Silkmen boss Steve King has managed to convince the England C international to remain in the Blue Square Bet Premier for the season ahead.

Henry started his career as a trainee at Luton Town in 1997 and has since donned the colours of Buntingford Town, Arlesey Town, Wycombe Wanderers, Grays Athletic, Haverhill Rovers, Cambridge City, Dorchester Town, Havant & Waterlooville and Newport County.
