Family pay tribute to M6 crash victim

A grieving family have paid tribute to a man who died in a collision on the M6 in Cheshire.
Clark Greenwood, 62 years of age, and from Ashton-Under-Lyne was seriously injured in the collision which happened around 2245 hours on the evening of Saturday 14 June on the M6 Northbound, between Junctions 17 and 18.
Mr Greenwood was a passenger in a Ford Focus car which collided with a stationary blue Mercedes car which had broken down in Lane 2 of the M6. He was taken by ambulance to North Staffordshire Hospital, but sadly died on the afternoon of Sunday 15 June 2014.
The other three occupants of the Focus suffered injuries and were detained in hospital for treatment.
The occupants of the Mercedes car had removed themselves from the vehicle to the side of the motorway and were awaiting recovery.
Clark Greenwood′s family have paid tribute to him, saying “We are heartbroken to have lost our dad, granddad, brother, uncle, and friend.
Clark was a wonderful and funny family man and to lose him in these circumstances is so sad. His comedic outlook on life and his overwhelming kindness is an inspiration to us all and will be deeply missed by everyone who held him so dear.”
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incident, and are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed any part of the incident, or who may have any information which may assist the collision investigator.
