Vibe teams up with Connecting Cheshire to introduce the Fibre Guys

Macclesfield-based integrated agency, Vibe, has supported the Connecting Cheshire Partnership’s first phase roll-out of superfast fibre broadband campaign by launching the Fibre Guys.
The Partnership, between the four local authorities across Cheshire and BT, appointed Vibe to drive awareness of its aims to bring 96% coverage of superfast fibre broadband to communities and businesses across the county by the end of 2015.
Vibe developed the Fibre Guys to help communicate the benefits of superfast fibre broadband in a visually stimulating and engaging way. The characters reinforce that you can do so much more with superfast broadband, whether for business use or in typical multi-device households where the whole family are each doing different things online simultaneously.
The campaign adopts a multi-channel approach, including the creation of vehicle livery featuring the Fibre Guys as well as event support collateral, ambient advertising, printed campaign communications and online advertising.
Commenting on the campaign, Richard Barnes, managing director of Vibe, said: “We’re thrilled to be working with Connecting Cheshire on such an important and high profile campaign. We felt that the Fibre Guys were the perfect creative platform for a campaign that needs to engage and educate audiences across Cheshire, Halton and Warrington”.
To date Connecting Cheshire has rolled out superfast broadband to over 15,000 premises including Alderley Edge, Weaverham, Westbrook, Tattenhall, Runcorn and Christleton.
Andrew Arditti, digital engagement manager at Connecting Cheshire, said: “The Fibre Guys campaign has been very well received; it has given us a fun and impactful way to communicate the benefits of fibre broadband without making it overly technical or complex. The characters have a strong personality which enables us to introduce different benefits to each of our target groups – such as small businesses, home users and those currently off-line.”
