Sandbach woman killed in Gawsworth crash

A woman, from Sandbach, was killed when the car she was driving was in a collision with a bus at Gawsworth.

The incident occurred on the A536 Congleton Road, about half a mile south of the Harrington Arms public house.

A female passenger was taken to Macclesfield hospital with shoulder injuries.

The accident happened around 7.45am on Thursday, October 1, and involved the deceased’s blue Ford Focus and a bus.

Officers from Cheshire Roads Policing team are appealing for information.
