They’re the The Real Thing

The Real Thing, the British soul group who found fame in the 1970s will be playing Pavilion Arts Centre (on 29 Nov).  Following the release of hits such as You to Me Are Everything and Can’t Get by Without you the group sold three million singles in the 70s, making them the most successful black rock/soul act in England during that decade. Many of their songs have been covered by acts such as Frankie Valli, Sonia and Public Enemy or remixed, becoming huge hits for a second time.

 The band’s UK No.1 hit You to Me Are Everything also charted internationally reaching No. 64 on the Billboard Hot 100. The Real Thing line-up features original vocalists Chris and Eddie Amoo and Dave Smith, along with their own 5-piece band.

Also playing (12 Dec) at the Arts Centre will be ‘the powerhouse’ female vocalist Patti Russo, best known for her role on Meatloaf’s classic rock anthem Paradise by the Dashboard Lights and work with Queen, Rodger Daltrey and Cher.
