How The Koala Learnt To Hug

Everybody knows that Koalas are just about the cutest critters alive. But the High Peak is a long way from their tropical Australian home so for residents of Buxton getting to see one can be a bit tricky.

However, thanks to the Pavilion Art Centre’s presentation of the charming family musical How The Koala Learnt To Hug the joy of koalas can come to everyone.

With heartwarming outback characters and a clever mixture of live action puppetry and animatronics the show is charming entertainment for the whole family.  Having garnered multiple five star reviews five years ago it looks set to charm a whole new generation of theatre goers during this tour.

The show is based on the title story from How The Koala Learnt To Hug and Other Australian Fairytales, a beautiful collection of ten tales by popular children’s author Steven Lee.

As an extra treat author Steven will be in the foyer after the performance to sign copies of the original book.

How The Koala Learnt To Hug will be at Pavilion Arts Centre on Wednesday 17 February at 11.30am and 3.30pm. Tickets are £8 & £10. Call the box office on 01298 72190 or visit www.buxtonoperahouse.org.uk
