Sue Ryder needs you!

The local Sue Ryder Charity Shop needs you!
.
Sue Ryder provides hospice and neurological care for people facing a potentially frightening and life changing diagnosis. And It’s not just expert medical care they provide, it’s the emotional support and practical things they take care of too. They do whatever they can to be a safety net for their patients and their loved ones at the most difficult time of their lives.
.
Sue Ryder treats more conditions than any other UK Charity in seven hospices and five neurological centres across the UK. As a charity, they rely on donations and fundraising to keep services running. That amounts to £42.5 million each year to operate!
.
The Sue Ryder charity shops provide a major part of this – and you could join the wonderful teams who open up, accept donations, get things ready for sale and provide excellent customer service everyday to support the charity and make it all happen.
.
Volunteers are vital in everything that’s done – in both care, support and retail. Roles in their shops are very varied – so you could be fresh out of school searching for experience, in work but looking for a change of scenery, or retired and wanting to get out and support a great cause.
.
In Macclesfield, the two shops on the corner Churchill Way and King Edward Street sell donated clothing and bric-a-brac, new and donated furniture and electrical items plus a thriving Vintage and Retro section for you to sink your teeth into!
.
Volunteers can serve customers, get involved in Up-Cycling, Merchandising and displays, or help out in the stockroom – seeing what’s coming in and preparing it for sale, or dealing with deliveries of new goods and furniture.
.
Whatever you’re into, they would love to meet you and tell you more about how you can help.
.
Pop into the shop, give them a call on 01625 439231, or email lucy.andrews@suerydercare.org.
.
There’s a warm welcome and brew waiting for you!
