The Game’s a Foot, try the Fish!

If Sherlock had a sense of humour, these mysteries would still give him a run for his money. Two delightfully silly whodunits from Tom Taylor, a Buzz Comedy Club favourite presents witticisms and farce in a 1930’s world of high society. Full of eccentric characters all played by Taylor.

Rakish, aristocrat Charlie Montague thinks he is the next best gent, loosely termed – to follow in the footsteps of Hercule Poirot. Charlie finds himself on his first case, to prevent a murder; it doesn’t quite go as planned. However, that doesn’t keep the budding detective down for long. As the man with the twisted hip sees Charlie accept an invitation to see the opening of a new art exhibition, where he is presented with the threat of murder and modern art. He is equally baffled by both.

Full of one-liners, and bursting at the seams with nonstop laughs, The Game’s a foot, Try the Fish was a smash at Edinburgh Festival. It collected a host of four and five star reviews and enjoyed a three week sell out run, marking Taylor as one of the most exciting up and coming comedians and writers.

The Game’s a Foot, Try the Fish and The Man with the Twisted Hip are at Pavilion Arts Centre on 31 August at 7.30PM as part of the Buxton Comedy Festival. Tickets are £12, discounts are available.
