New village in the heart of Alderley Park

Character cottages and a new apartment building are to be built on the 400-acre Alderley Park estate – previously the home of Astra-Zeneca.

The new homes forming part of the redevelopment of the historic park’s older buildings will also see a farm shop, gastro pub and new leisure facilities.

Trafford Park-based PJ Livesey, has also received planning consent for a contemporary glazed apartment building overlooking the Water Garden which will provide 22 new homes with cantilevered balconies and views across the parkland.

The company is also converting the estate’s original grade II-listed courtyard buildings into 17 two and three-bedroom cottages. The lower courtyard will be extended with 17, up to four-bedroom, mews properties.

In total The Historic Quarter will provide 57 new homes that will form part of a wider ambition to create a new village at Alderley Park with community facilities including a farm shop stocking produce from Cheshire suppliers and a gastropub with bedrooms.

The Park will also have extensive new sports and leisure facilities, including cricket and football pitches along with cycle routes and trim trails being opened up to the local community for the first time.
