Police appeal after robbery in Wilmslow

Police are appealing for information following a robbery in Wilmslow.

The incident happened around 3.15 am on Saturday, 2nd June, outside Revolution on Alderley Road.

The 22-year-old victim was walking down an alleyway, next to the club, when he was approached by four men from behind and placed in a headlock. The men threatened to stab him unless he handed over his Cartier watch, which he did. One of the men is described as black, 6’ tall, well-built and was wearing a baseball cap and glasses. The second man is described as black, approximately 5’10” tall, of slim build and was wearing a red check shirt, possibly with a t-shirt underneath and had distinctive braided afro hair.

The offenders are then thought to have left the scene in a silver saloon vehicle.

Detective Sergeant Shane Owens said: “This was a frightening incident for the victim who was heading home after enjoying a night out and was set upon by four other men and threatened.

“We are asking for anyone who may have seen the group of men that night, or witnessed the incident, to come forward and speak to us. If you have any information then please call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 18100161209. Or you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
