RHS Chatsworth Flower Show first day

The RHS Chatsworth Flower Show opened its doors today (Wednesday, 6th June) – and thousands of visitors poured in to check out what’s new in the world of gardening, horticulture and horticultural design.

Visitors have another four days to enjoy the show – take a look at the pictures to see a snapshot of the world of horticulture in 2018.

If you want it, the RHS Chatsworth will have it.

They grow ’em mighty large in Derbyshire.

Isn’t nature wonderful.

Yet another unusual but beautiful product of nature.

A stunning and informative display by the Orchid Society.

A display of air plants and bromeliads.

Thankfully not a real honey bee in the bee-keepers marquee.

The Living Laboratory marquee demonstrates the use of plants as natural filtration removing nitrogen waste from water.

Around 5,000 orchids all the way up to the roof in the Orchid marquee.

Even the mayflies turned out in force to view the gardens.

The weather stayed fine so the wellies weren’t needed.

Bougainvillea if I’m not mistaken – there are a number of varieties of these stunning plants on display and for sale.
