Appeal following Knutsford assaults

Police are appealing for information after a man sexually assaulted two women in Knutsford.

The first incident happened on Bexton Road, Knutsford, at around 3.45 pm on Thursday 11 October when a man approached a 38-year-old woman and grabbed her bottom before running off towards Black Hill Lane.

The second incident occurred on Blackhill Lane, Knutsford, between 6 pm and 6.45 pm on Friday 2 November when a 42-year-old woman was grabbed from behind by a man while she was jogging. He groped her bottom before running off.

The man is described as white, around 18 years old, approximately 6’ tall with a slim build and brown hair. In the first incident he was wearing jeans, a black beanie hat and a black top/jacket. In the second incident he was wearing a grey hoodie.

PC Lawrence Price said: “These offences have understandably caused a large amount of concern in the local community and we have stepped up patrols in the area to try to provide reassurance to the community. We are also seeking any witnesses who may have seen the man.
