Learn to become a school governor

Governors for School, The Aspire Educational Trust and The Fallibroome Trust are holding a school governor recruitment event at Ash Grove Primary School on Thursday 7th February 2019.

Are you looking to develop your skills and build up leadership experience?

  • Can you help a school to develop it’s strategic vision?
  • Do you want to support the next generation to reach their potential?

Becoming a school governor provides you with board-level experience and you make a real difference to the lives of children and young people in your community.

Governors for Schools recruits and supports volunteers into school governor roles. They are a charity passionate about improving educational standards through effective governance, and provide a free matching service for volunteers and schools, as well as a host of free training.

The Aspire Educational Trust is a multi-academy Trust based in Cheshire. It currently has ten primary schools with more schools set to join soon. The Fallibroome Trust is also a multi-academy Trust based in Macclesfield. It currently has six primary and two secondary schools, with more schools set to join. Trust schools are situated in Macclesfield, Wilmslow, Holmes Chapel, Winsford, Manchester, Crewe, Northwich and Peover.

The aim of both Trusts is to give children and young people from all backgrounds an outstanding education. The Trusts are looking for more school governors to help them deliver this.
