Gawsworth service celebrates Bishop William’s retirement

A special service to celebrate Bishop William Pwaisiho’s retirement from St James, Gawsworth on Sunday 20th January 2019.

Over 180 people, including friends and from all over the UK squeezed into church to pay tribute to the Bishop.

Fr. Paul, Katie Drew from the Melanesian Mission UK, John Freeman from the Chester Diocese and a Companion of the Melanesian Brotherhood and Gawsworth Patron Rupert Richards spoke to the congregation about Bishop William and his work in the Parish of Gawsworth.

Following the service the Pwaisiho family sang a farewell song to the congregation.
