If you have an elderly or vulnerable relative or friend please alert them to this scam. We knew this was a scam immediately as we have no account(s) with British Gas, we pay in £ – and $68 million is a tad on the high side.
However, anyone vulnerable having a British Gas account might be fooled into connecting the scammers via the hotlinks. Please share this item with anyone you may consider to be at risk.
