Tuck into a delicious late morning brunch or traditional afternoon tea in the Stables Tea-room, complete with a glass of fizz, followed by a walk in the blooming spring gardens with our head gardener.  As you explore, don’t miss ‘The Bell Tree’, Serena Korda’s sculptural sound installation inspired by the bluebells that carpet the woodland floor around the house. Quarry Bank
Sunday 31 March, 10.30am – 5pm

Treat your mum to a day out at Quarry Bank.  Pop into recently re-opened mill or look around the mill owners’ house and the apprentice house to discover how the industrial community at Quarry Bank lived and worked.  Then wander through the picturesque gardens that rise up the banks of the river valley to take in the colourful bulbs in bloom or the exotic plants and fruit growing in the restored glasshouse. Rufford Old Hall
Sunday 31 March, 11 am– 4 pm

Enjoy afternoon tea in the Victorian tea-room with your mum then take a stroll through the daffodils and bluebells in the gardens and woodland or head indoors to be wowed by the Tudor Great Hall, with its furniture, weapons, armour, tapestries and the huge carved oak screen. Dunham Massey
Sunday 31 March, 11 am – 5 pm

Explore the beautiful gardens at Dunham Massey looking for daffodils and other signs of spring, head into the house to come face to face with portraits from the National Portrait Gallery’s collection of people who’ve shaped the way we think or feel about green spaces and nature today, including David Attenborough and Beatrix Potter, and then tuck into a tasty lunch in the restaurant – they’ll even do the washing up! Tatton Park
Saturday 30 & Sunday 31 March

Take a seat at the Gardener’s Cottage where an extra special Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea is being served. Enjoy a glass of Prosecco on arrival before tucking into a menu of sandwiches and savouries using estate-reared produce and home baked cakes and pastries.  You’ll even receive a gift of Tatton’s handmade fudge for your mum to take home.
