Police appeal following Wilmslow robbery

Cheshire Police are appealing for witnesses or information after a man was seriously assaulted during a robbery in Wilmslow on Sunday 26 January.

The victim was walking through Wilmslow Leisure Centre’s car park at around 1 am when the 29-year-old victim, from Wilmslow, was assaulted, sustaining a serious facial injury and had his watch and a quantity of cash stolen.

He sought treatment in hospital and has since been discharged.

Enquiries are ongoing and detectives are urging anyone who was in the area and saw anything, or have CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Matt Ashton said: “I would like to reassure members of the community that this appears to have been an isolated incident and we are doing everything we can to establish who was responsible for the robbery and bring them to justice.”
