Luxury hotel on the Links

As the country emerges from its second national lockdown a £8.5m hotel has opened in Tytherington – assisted by 6-year old Tytherington club member Satsuki-Mei.

Satsuki-Mei joined General Manager, Jamie McDonald, for a special ceremony to  declare the hotel officially open.

General Manager, Jamie McDonald watches Satsuki-Mei cut the ribbon to open Macclesfield\s new hotel.

With the help of the club team Satsuki-Me created her own hotel within the Crèche called Sparkle Hotel. She wrote a letter to Jamie to request she opened the hotel.

Due to launch earlier this year, the project was delayed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

The 65-room Tytherington is set in the striking grounds of Tytherington Golf and Country Club. Guests have access to the restaurant and bar at the neighbouring Tytherington club as well as its premium health and fitness facilities, swimming pool, luxury day spa and 18-hole championship golf course.

Jamie McDonald, General Manager of the new hotel, told us: “We are delighted to finally open The Tytherington in what has been a very difficult year. With demand for staycations soaring, we believe there will be strong demand for a premium hotel in the area. It’s the perfect base for a golf or spa break or for exploring Cheshire and the stunning Peak District.”

“The safety of our guests and our team is paramount. We have put rigorous safety and cleaning procedures in place to ensure the hotel is Covid-secure and are already taking bookings.”
