Armed group claimed to be ‘nature lovers’
When Peak District National Park Rangers encountered a group of people in Macclesfield Forest they claimed to be ‘nature lovers’.
However, the rangers’ suspicions were raised when these particular ‘nature lovers’ were seen to be carrying bows and arrows – and an axe!
The group of adults and children were spotted by Peak District National Park Rangers on May 1. The rangers called for support from Cheshire Police Rural Crime Team to deal with the lovers of nature.
