    Northern Chamber Orchestra 51st season

    Heritage Centre, Roe Street, Macclesfield

The Northern Chamber Orchestra have announced details of their thrilling 2018-19 season, including four concerts at their new home in Manchester, The Stoller Hall, where they are Orchestra in Association.

The Orchestra, which turned 50 last year and is the oldest professional chamber ensemble in the North West, has announced its new season of concerts which features a host of international classical music stars, including pianist Freddy Kempf, one of the world's finest clarinettists, Julian Bliss, and the Orchestra's newest Artist in Association, the multi-talented cellist and baritone Matthew Sharp, who will also work closely with the NCO's Education and Outreach team. The season also includes the Orchestra's Vice-President Martin Roscoe and, closing the season, world-renowned violinist Chloë Hanslip, who directs the orchestra in a programme of stunning string music.

Of the new partnership between the Orchestra and The Stoller Hall, Richard Hartwell (General Manager of The Stoller Hall) said: “We’re delighted that, as Orchestra in Association, Northern Chamber Orchestra will play a central role in The Stoller Hall’s programming for seasons to come. Their outstanding reputation for chamber music performance, combined with the quality and range of their soloists, make them a perfect partner with whom to build the Hall’s reputation as an unmissable venue for live music.“
