Latest news from the No to Tesco campaigners.
Several campaigners manned a stall in the Market Space on Saturday – and the response from the public was described as `overwhelming`.
More than 300 local people signed the petition on the day, at a rate of one signature every 40 seconds! Bearing in mind the weather was decidedly chilly and the town wasn`t that busy that`s a lot of concerned Macclesfield folk.
Additionally 101 objection letters were submitted
