FREEDOM OF INFORMATION COMMISSIONER OVER-RULES COUNCIL

Word is that the Freedom of Information Commissioner has over-ruled Cheshire East Council regarding their refusal to publish details of the Town Centre Redevelopment contract between CEC and Wilson Bowden.

If this is correct CEC will have to provide a full and un-redacted copy of the contract within 35 days.

The Council, of course, are at liberty to appeal, but the pressures they are now facing for their refusal to release the full report on the Lyme Green fiasco will hopefully encourage them to finally publish full details of this highly controversial scheme.

Following sustained pressure the Council had agreed to secure an impact study. Subsequently White, Young & Green were instructed by the Council
