Police appeal for wanted Macclesfield man

Cheshire Police are appealing for information on the whereabouts of a man who failed to appear at court.
Scott Joseph Cole, 23, is wanted for failing to appear at Macclesfield Magistrates Court on Thursday 15th January in relation to racially-aggravated crimes.
It is believed that Cole is in the Macclesfield area but may be being concealed from police by associates.
While police would like to trace and locate Cole, they urge the public to call 999 with any information rather than approach him directly.
Inspector Steve Griffiths of Macclesfield NPU said: “We are continuing our enquiries to locate Cole and are appealing to anyone who has any information as to his whereabouts to come forward. My advice to anyone who sees Cole would be to not approach him, but to ring police immediately on 999.”
Police would also like to remind anyone who is harboring or assisting a wanted person, that they are committing an offence and could face criminal charges.
Anyone with information on Scott Joseph Cole′s location should call the police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. If anyone sights Cole, they should call 999 immediately.
