Something for everyone at Wilmslow Beer & Wine Festival

Saturday 26th September is a date to mark in your diary. Lindow Cricket Club will be hosting the Alderley Edge and Wilmslow Beer & Wine Festival which promises to be a great day out for the whole family.

The event is free to attend and the line up is impressive, with over 40 local cask ales and ciders available in the Festival Tent, along with a range of world wines. The Market Co, organisers of Wilmslow’s Artisan Market, is ensuring that there will be some fantastic food on offer from some of the most original street food companies in the North West and The Yard in Alderley Edge will be filling the whole event with music from the Festival Stage.

The day starts at 12pm and will run until 10pm and there will be plenty to do. Local sports clubs have been invited to come along and showcase their sports to younger festival goers who will be able to try out anything from tennis and rugby to lacrosse and cricket, and everyone is encouraged to bring along their picnic rugs and deckchairs and enjoy the entertainment on the Festival Stage.

David Kendrick, Chairman of Lindow Cricket Club said, “We’re really looking forward to hosting this event which will have something for everyone. It’s about time Wilmslow had its own beer festival – and we’re delighted that it’s taking place at Lindow.

Local businesses can get involved by sponsoring a cask at the event. Each cask sponsor will receive special edition festival glasses and beer tokens so that they can get tasting as soon as they arrive.
