Cat and Fiddle and A54 closed due to expected heavy snow
Cheshire Police are advising motorists that Highways have closed the A54 and A537 Cat and Fiddle Road due to concerns of heavy snow and ice tonight (Wednesday 13 January 2015).
The A54 is closed at Bosley lights to Buxton while the Cat and Fiddle is closed Macclesfield to Buxton.
It is thought there could be snowfall of up to 10 inches in the area, and the adverse weather could also cause black ice, making it too dangerous for motorists to pass.
