Health matters – patient safety

The first talk in the Health Matters 2016 programme – Focus on Patient Safety – Stop the Pressure – will be held next week, on Tuesday 2nd February 2016 and will be presented by Lisa Minshall, Head of Nursing, and Sally Walsh, Tissue Viability Nurse.

This talk will look at the important issue of patient safety in the NHS, with a specific focus on harms to patients caused by pressure ulcers.  The session will also cover East Cheshire NHS Trust commitment to the national initiative ‘Sign up to Safety’.

This session aims to provide an understanding of what causes a pressure ulcer, how it can be prevented, and describe what steps can be taken to reduce the risk of developing a pressure ulcer; as well as giving an overview of patient safety.

Please go along if you would like to find out more about this interesting topic.  To ensure a place phone on freephone 0800 195 4194.

Car Parking:  People attending Health Matters will not be charged for car parking.  So that we can arrange this for you, we will need to know your car registration number please.  You can either include this in your email to us to book your place at the talk, or when you register with us on the evening – whichever you prefer.  If you have already given us your registration number for previous Health Matters, we still have this on file.
