Shrigley Hall on the market

The Shrigley Hotel, Golf and Country Club has been put up for sale.

The Grade II* listed country house hotel has 148 bedrooms and is set within 262 acres (106 hectares) of private grounds.

Now a four star hotel, it also has an award-winning restaurant, bar, health club, 18 hole-golf course and 13 conference rooms.

The 10 hotel portfolio is being offered for a guide price of around £130m.

The portfolio also includes The Majestic Hotel, Harrogate; The Old Ship Hotel, Brighton; The Redworth Hall Hotel, County Durham; The Imperial Hotel, Torquay; The Billesley Manor Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon and The Imperial Hotel, Blackpool, The Stirling Highland Hotel, Stirling; The Aberdeen Altens Hotel, Aberdeen and The Angel Hotel, Cardiff.
