Local MP, David Rutley, recently had the opportunity to see how apprenticeships are benefitting local young people and businesses, when he met with the two new apprentices at Optimality, a local training provider.

Optimality, based on Tytherington Business Park, specialises in business optimisation by creating and delivering sustainable in-company tailored Sales, Customer Experience and Leadership Development training solutions.

The company decided to recruit apprentices to support its work of providing effective people development solutions. The apprentices, Phoebe Keen and Joe Callender will be trained through both Optimality’s internal training academy and supported to attend Macclesfield College, so they can complete their NVQ Level 2.

David met with Phoebe and Joe to find out about how they are hoping the apprenticeship will develop their skills and experience, and what their plans are for the future. He also met with Arron Taylor, Managing Partner, and Sarah Taylor, Head of Learning Partnerships from Optimality, who explained why apprentices are important to their business model.

Speaking following the meeting, David said, “It was great to meet Phoebe and Joe, to find out how the scheme with Optimality is of benefit to them, and how local businesses are able to effectively create apprenticeships in order to develop and grow. Apprenticeships are an important way of offering young people a dynamic way to begin their career. I would like to wish Phoebe and Joe well with their studies and future careers, and Optimality every success for the future.”
