Microsoft cloud solutions company Axon has added two new apprentices to its growing Macclesfield workforce.

Jack Bushill joins from All Hallows Catholic College where he gained a BTEC in ICT, while Christopher Herbert studied IT at Tytherington High School. Both will undertake a 15 month apprenticeship with the Microsoft specialists.

The newbies will gain experience working across a number of areas within the business, including technical support, cloud computing migration, Microsoft technologies and technical sales.

Managing Director, Tim Mears, commented; “It is vital that we invest in skills and new talent for the future development of our business as we continue to grow. Jack and Chris bring new perspectives and fresh energy to the team, and we’re delighted to have them onboard. I look forward to seeing them develop their skills and careers with us.”

Commenting on his appointment, Jack Bushill said; “I was eager to get into the world of work and Axon ticked all the boxes for me. Technology is such a fast-paced industry, every day is different and I’m already expanding my skillset and improving my knowledge in many areas.”

Jack successfully completed two Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) qualifications in Networking and Mobility and Operating Systems within just three months of starting his apprenticeship at Axon, and has since gone on to complete his final MTA in Cloud Services.

New apprentice Chris added; “As a well-established Microsoft house, Axon was a company that really appealed to me. Cutting edge, innovative, and fast growing. The industry offers so much opportunity, and i’m looking forward to developing my career, gaining real-world experience away from the classroom.”

A Microsoft Gold Partner, Axon was founded in 2001 and specialises in Microsoft technologies, telecoms, IT support and consultancy which it uses to drive business innovation through digital transformation.
