Police sergeant denies murdering his detective wife
Darren McKie of Wilmslow, aged 43, pleaded not guilty to the murder of 39 year old Leanne McKie, when he appeared at Chester Crown Court.
Mrs McKie, who worked in the serious sexual offences unit at Greater Manchester Police was found dead in a lake in Poynton Park, Cheshire, in September last year.
Mr Mckie, has also pleaded not guilty to a charge of manslaughter.
He’s due to stand trial in March.
