Appeal following fatal Cranage collision

Officers from Cheshire Police are appealing for information following a fatal collision in Cranage.

Shortly before 9pm on Saturday 22 September officers were called to reports of a collision on the A50 Knutsford Road in Cranage. The incident, in the vicinity of Northwich Road, involved a silver Citroen C3 and a tractor.

An 86-year-old female passenger from Kidsgrove, who was travelling in the Citroen, died at the scene. The driver of the Citroen also sustained minor injuries – was taken to the Royal Stoke Hospital – and has since been discharged. The driver of the tractor was uninjured.

Enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who believes they have any dashcam footage of the incident or footage of the vehicles in the moments leading up to the collision.
