Chelford crash leaves car in a hedge

A car driver escaped with minor injuries, after a crash on Wednesday morning, which left his vehicle stuck in a hedge.

The accident happened at around 7 am on the A537 Chelford Road between the Chelford roundabout and the Monks Heath crossroads.

Because of the collision the road was closed both ways for a short while.

On-call firefighters from Wilmslow and Macclesfield fire attended the scene and found the car involved had left the road.

A male with minor injuries was released from the vehicle by firefighters and handed into the care of paramedics.
