David Rutley elected

David Rutley will remain as the Conservative Member of Parliament for Macclesfield having taken a 52.5% share of the votes cast.

Conservative – David Rutley – 28,292 – Vote share 52.5%

Labour – Neil Puttick – 17,581 – Vote share 32.6%

Liberal Democrat – Neil Christian – 5,684 – Vote share 10.6%

Green – James Booth – 2,310 – Vote share 4.3%
