Bollington firefighters help rescue horses

Bollington firefighters helped rescue three horses which were trapped in the Manchester Ship Canal.

A foal needed rescuing from the Manchester Ship Canal while two horses were stuck in mud in nearby Ferry Lane.

The foal is helped out of the Manchester Ship Canal

Fire crews from the Bollington animal rescue unit along with crews from Warrington and Lymm.

The horses were left in the care of their owner and the foal was checked over by a local vet.
