Police appeal for witnesses to M6 crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the M6 near Knutsford yesterday (8th July) in which one driver died and three other people received minor injuries.

The collision, involving three HGVs, was on the southbound carriageway between junction 20, Lymm Interchange and junction 19, Knutsford shortly before 12.40 pm.

Both carriageways were shut to assist emergency services. The northbound carriageway reopened a short time later but the southbound remains closed while emergency services work at the scene and an investigation into the collision continues.
