Rob Wilson Art – Derbyshire Open Arts

I'm excited to invite you into my studio at 'KIN.DER' in Glossop where I create my art, giving you a glimpse into this creative space and an insight into how my paintings are produced.

Exibiting alongside me is my studio companion, print and textile designer Charlotte Riley.

The studio will be open 10am to 4pm on Sat 25th and Sun 26th May (closed Monday) at 'KIN.DER', Glossop Gasworks, Arundel St, Glossop SK13 7AB. There's a free carpark to the rear.

'To the Cage' - One of my new pieces

Worked on in front of a live audience at the always enthusiastic Glossop Art Society, 'To the Cage' celebrates the 10 year anniversary of parkrun at Lyme Park, which will be proudly on display over the weekend.

A new process...

Over the last few months I've been experimenting with new techniques on a variety of subject matter. This involves layering abstract textures and creating background compositions on canvas before screen printing a layer of detail on top and applying further effects. The process introduces a quick and intuitive collection of work.
