Successful Open Day for Macclesfield Tennis Club

Macclesfield Tennis Club’s open weekend proved to be a huge success with many potential members going along to check out the facilities on offer.

The event – part of the national campaign by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) to “Try Tennis for free” initiative – saw the cours operating to capacity under the supervision of the club’s professional coach Danny Connolly, ably assisted by his team of enthusiastic assistants.

A seemingly never ending supply of burgers and sausage sandwiches (kindly provided supplied by Nigel Wilcox of Park Lane) sustained energy levels of participants and staff.

The event resulted in a number of new members signing up – and overall the weekend was a huge success.

The club’s annual tournament starts on June 1st for the seniors category.

The club will be holding a BBQ and tennis event on July 4th – followed by a social evening featuring the well known Macclesfield Ukelele Group. Tickets just £5 available now.
