Fly tipping nuisance

Macclesfield police are receiving increasing reports of fly tipping in the Rainow and Saltersford areas of Macclesfield and just over the border into the Goyt Valley.

Evidence suggests the waste is coming from outside the county.

Police are requesting everyone to be observant for any suspected waste type vehicle or similar in unusual rural locations and report this to PC Ric Walker 4522 Macclesfield Police Station,
Richard.Walker4522@Cheshire.pnn.police.uk

If you need some waste removing, top tips to prevent fly-tipping are to ask where rubbish is being taken, ask for a receipt on headed paper, get an estimate on headed paper giving details of waste disposal and check the trader has a valid waste carriers licence.

This can be checked at www.environment-agency.gov.uk or call the Environment Agency on 03708 506 506.
