Bishop William announces his retirement

After 20 years of Ministry at Gawsworth St James, Bishop William Alaha Pwaisiho, OBE, Hon. Assistant Bishop of Chester and Rector of Gawsworth and North Rode has announced he is to retire at the end of January 2019.

At the March 2018 meeting of Gawsworth Parochial Parish Council (PCC), Bishop William requested that St James consider an ongoing donation to the Melanesian Mission, in celebration of his Ministry at Gawsworth. The PCC agreed unanimously to do this and have pledged to hold a fund-raising event each year for the Melanesian Mission.
