Eye Society Vision Day

Macclesfield Eye Society held its well-attended annual Vision Day recently at Macclesfield Town Hall.

Vision Day is an important opportunity for residents in and around Macclesfield to find out more about the support and services that are available across Cheshire East from local charities, as well as organisations and businesses providing sight loss equipment and practical support in the local area. Over 100 attendees visited throughout the day, with exhibitors from a range of local charities on hand to provide sight loss advice and workshops, presentations, demonstrations of visual impairment aids and equipment.

As well as Macclesfield Eye Society, exhibitors included: the Royal National Institute for the Blind; the Macular Society; and Macclesfield Citizens Advice Bureau.

This was the fourth annual Vision Day, and it is becoming a firm fixture in the local Macclesfield calendar. The exhibition was joined by the Mayor of Cheshire East, Cllr Arthur Moran, the Mayor of Macclesfield, Cllr Beverley Dooley and Macclesfield MP, David Rutley.
