MBE for Janet
Former mayor of Macclesfield, Janet Jackson, has been awarded an MBE for services to the community in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List
Janet has worked tirelessly as both a town councillor and county councillor for over 24 years, and has helped local charities and community groups serving the town for over 50 years.
Many of these awards go to individuals for just doing their job, Janet is one of the rare few who thoroughly deserves the recognition for her work in the community.
