Chapterhouse Theatre is returning to the garden with three exciting open air performances to enjoy. Brought to life by award-winning writer Laura Turner, join us for the wild and tempestuous love story of Wuthering Heights on Saturday 22 June, discover the mysteries of the countryside in The Secret Garden on Saturday 6 July, and take a step back in time with Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice on Saturday 10 August.

Set on the beautiful and mysterious Yorkshire moors, Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights has thrilled readers and audiences alike for generations. Find out if Catherine and Heathcliff’s love can endure, or whether forces of nature tear them apart in this tale of passion and revenge.

Join young Mary Lennox on a journey of discovery as she is sent to her uncle’s house in the countryside, where mysteries and secrets lurk round every corner. As she makes new friends and encounters magical creatures, Mary has one burning question: where is the location of her uncle’s secret garden, and where has he hidden the key? Loved by children and adults alike, relive this tale of secrecy and curiosity in what will be one of the highlights of the summer.

Take a step back in time to meet Elizabeth Bennet, Jane Austen’s notorious Pride & Prejudice heroine. When Elizabeth meets the terse and abrupt Mr Darcy, she loathes him at first sight, but is there more than him than meets the eye? Join family and friends beneath the stars, basking in the glow of this timeless classic in the Dunham Massey garden.

Return to the garden to at the end of the summer for QUAD’s Summer Nights Film Festival. Spend the evening under the stars watching classic films in the perfect summer setting. Choose from Grease on Thursday 29 August and Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again on Friday 30 August. With tickets already sold out for Bohemian Rhapsody on Saturday 31 August, book now to make sure you don’t miss out on Grease or Mamma Mia.

Grease is the ultimate High School Musical, set amid the 1950’s teenage social and peer prejudices of the tumultuous final year of high school. The story about love found on a summer beach, then lost and found again. Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again is packed full of more ABBA inspired song and dance numbers! When Sophie discovers she is pregnant, she delves into a quest of discovery into her mother Donna’s colourful past. Cher joins the cast as Grandmother. Rami Malek is Freddie Mercury in the foot stomping biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, following the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near implosion as Mercury’s lifestyle spirals out of control, to their triumphant 1985 Live Aid reunion.
