Since opting to go the organic route for ridding our garden of slugs and leaving food out for hedgehogs they had become regular visitors.
On one occasion, back in March 2018, we had four hedgehogs in our back garden – although it was March and the breeding season – so possibly the hogs had an ulterior motive for congregating there.
A week or so ago, we had a visit from a badger – a very large one – so we’re guessing he must have been fully grown. Tonight we were visited by a much younger badger.
We must now be on their regular food route – and they appear to enjoy the food we put out for the hogs just as much as the hogs.
Sadly, the hogs now appear to be giving our garden a wide berth.
