Christmas spirit alive at Abbey Festive

The Christmas spirit is definitely alive with Macclesfield Christmas decorations company, Abbey Festive Decor, who have decorated East Cheshire Hospice for Christmas – free of charge.

The new business founded in 2020, spent two days decking out East Cheshire Hospice with Christmas cheer.

Abbey Festive’s founder, Scott Hulme, and business development executive, Megan Jones, reached out to the Hospice in October, who were delighted to accept the generous offer from a local business.

The company decorated all communal space at the Hospice – from the entrance – to the main reception area, the family room, the Sunflower room and even the garden.

“It has been an honour to provide Christmas decorations to East Cheshire Hospice, and we hope to do so for many years to come,” said Scott.

“We chose East Cheshire Hospice because of the tireless work all the staff do on a day-to-day basis, to ensure patients suffering from life-limiting illnesses, receive the best possible care.

“Businesses can play a positive role in society, and partnering with a local charity is perhaps the most direct way of giving something back to the community,” added Scott.

Luke Brightmore, Marketing Manager at the Hospice said: “Our aim at the Hospice is to create an atmosphere of warmth, happiness, comfort and joy, so Christmas time is really important.

“Abbey Festive Decor have really helped us raise the bar this year and we’d like to thank them for bringing such a wonderfully festive feel to the building for our patients, families, visitors, volunteers and staff to enjoy.”
