BODY OF MAN FOUND IN CANAL AT BOSLEY

The body of a man has been recovered from the canal in Bosley, near Macclesfield.

The 63-year-old was found by a passer-by at 8.40 on Monday (October 14) in the Macclesfield Canal near to Bosley Crossroads on Leek Road.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious, but described it as unexplained.

The Coroner has been informed and a post mortem examination will be held to determine the cause of death.
