CUT BACKS AFFECT SCHOOL STUDENTS

As we all know too well, our country is in an economic crisis and cut backs by the government have affected many people this year, but it has also affected many students in the Macclesfield Academy. The school bus, which has been running for decades, stopped in December 2011 leaving many students of the school having to find a new means of transport.

This situation is quite serious as with the lack of a bus to transport students to and from school; a lot now have difficulty finding a way to travel. The route of this particular bus started in Langley and passed through Sutton and Lyme Green, then up to Macclesfield; picking up a bus full of students along the way.

People are now forced to find another way of getting to school on time and although other public buses run after school they still require a wait until five past the hour, and a walk down to the bus station. As the Academy doesn
