Local law firm raise funds for Babygrow Appeal

Staff, along with friends and family of Macclesfield-based law firm SAS Daniels, donned a selection of baby-grows and onesies last weekend to walk from Congleton to Macclesfield to raise money for the Babygrow Appeal at The Countess of Chester Hospital.

The walk raised over £930 for the charity – established to raise £3million to build a new Neonatal Unit at the hospital.

SAS Daniels beat their original fundraising target of £500 to support the firm’s charity of the year. They now hope to top their next target of £1000. The much-needed Neonatal Unit at the hospital aims to provide better services and facilities for patients and their family.

According to Helen Gowin, Partner at Daniels, the 10 mile walk was well attended and good-humoured. “It was great fun to see colleagues, friends and family all dressed up in their baby grows instead of the usual work attire. The sunny weather lifted our spirits as we trekked through thick and slippery mud. We all had great fun and have been blown away by people’s generosity for this great cause.”

Donations for the walk are still being taken until the end of April. For those wanting to show their support and donate can visit the Babygrow appeal just giving page at http://www.justgiving.com/sasdaniels-onesie-walk.
