Health Matters – Are you zzzzleepy?

The next talk in the Health Matters programme is about sleep disorders. Are you zzzzzleepy?  will be held on Tuesday 7th June 2016.  The talk will be presented by Dr Sriram Iyer, Respiratory Consultant and Kate Johnson, Senior Sister.

This session aims to give an understanding of the importance of sleep, raise awareness of sleep disorders and their impact on daily life, and discuss the help that East Cheshire NHS Trust can offer.  Sleep disorders have increased in incidence and 25% of the population in the UK suffers from a sleep disorder.

Dr Iyer joined the trust in 2012.  Since 2014 he has been leading on the sleep apnoea service along with Senior Sister Kate Johnson.  The service has treated more than 150 patients with sleep apnoea during this period.
