Haematology explained – a free public lecture

Here’s an opportunity to learn about the recent advances in various areas of haematology and the service developments at Macclesfield District General Hospital in a talk by consultant haematologist Dr John Hudson.

The ‘Health Matters’ talk will take place at Macclesfield District General Hospital on Tuesday, October 4th, as part of a series of talks hosted by East Cheshire NHS Trust.

Haematology is concerned with the study, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases related to the blood.

Topics covered in the talk will include general haematology, anticoagulants, myeloma, lymphoma and modern developments in treatments available.

Dr Hudson has worked at the trust for 14 years specialising in General Haematology and urges the public to attend the lecture to see what great treatments and advances are right here at your local trust.

The talk takes place at 7pm in Macclesfield Hospital’s Lecture Theatre, which is near the Treetops Restaurant on the first floor.

All are welcome to attend the event but places are limited, so please book in advance and secure free parking if required by contacting the Communications and Engagement Department on freephone 0800 195 4194 or email ecntstaff.comms@nhs.net
